About us

A&J Power Services Ltd is a family-run electrical business based in Jarrow, with over 25 years’ experience across the North East. We work with homeowners, landlords and businesses across Tyneside and the surrounding area.

Our work covers EICRs and inspection and testing, commercial electrical installations, rewiring, consumer-unit upgrades, lighting, repairs, EV charging, solar installations and battery storage. We take time to understand the property and explain suitable options before agreeing the work.

A practical approach, from start to finish

We begin by understanding how the property is used and what you want to achieve. That helps us agree a clear scope, discuss access and timing, and plan any disruption or power interruptions before starting.

For commercial work, we can coordinate access around staff, equipment and other trades, and prepare risk assessments and method statements where required. For homes and rental properties, we plan around the people using the building and keep you informed about the next steps.

Safety, workmanship and communication

Our inspection and testing work draws on City & Guilds 2391 qualifications. We explain inspection findings and recommended work in plain language, so you understand the options.

We aim for a neat finish and clear communication throughout, including an explanation of the agreed work, relevant paperwork and any recommendations at handover.

Tell us about your property, the work you have in mind and your timescale. We will discuss the details and arrange a visit where needed to help you plan the next step.
